GREEN School Team

y2John Ozer - Upper School Principal

It is a privilege and honor to serve as Upper School Principal at GREEN Charter School. I started my education journey in 1998 as a science teacher and taught different science courses in various schools. I will be starting my 13 years as a principal in 2021-2022 SY. The last two years were very challenging, but we proved that GREEN has the most resilient teachers, students, and parents. I love working at GREEN and seeing the enthusiasm and passion for learning in our students' eyes every morning. I have been married for 19 years and have a daughter and a son. I enjoy traveling in the South and exploring the small towns and nature besides watching soccer games as a Chelsea fan. Students, a fantastic school year is waiting for you!

y2Lenette Hernandez - Upper School Assistant Principal

After graduating from Florida International University's College of Arts and Sciences, I earned my professional teaching certificate and became an educator in 2000. Since then, I have taught Language Arts at both the middle and high school levels as well as electives such as Public Speaking and Journalism.

In addition to my role as an educator, I have participated in multiple collaborations including school improvement committees, reaccreditation teams, curriculum design groups, and served as the lead teacher within the English department.

During the ten years I spent at my previous school, my status as a veteran educator enabled me to guide new teachers through the joys and challenges of the profession as well as build camaraderie amongst our colleagues and the students we served.

I joined GREEN Charter in 2015 when my family and I decided to relocate to South Carolina. After four years as an English teacher at GREEN, I earned my Masters in Educational Administration and Leadership, I transferred out of the classroom and joined the administrative team at the Upper School.
